Spider Tealight Holder

Download the design and cut all canvases from 3mm basswood.

You will need all the pieces from the different canvases to assemble the finished tealight holder.

Please note: The centre hole is designed for a standard-size tealight. Measure your tealight before cutting and adjust the centre circle on Canvas 2 if needed.

To adjust the hole:

1. Ungroup the design on Canvas 2.
2. Select the centre circle.
3. Resize the circle to fit your tealight — make it smaller or larger as required.
4. Once you are happy with the size, regroup the design so all the pieces remain together and the design cuts correctly as one.

Paint or stain your pieces before assembly. This makes it much easier to get an even finish, especially around the smaller areas and legs.

Allow everything to dry completely.

Once the main body is dry, slot the spider legs into the grooves provided.

Apply a small amount of wood glue to each leg joint to strengthen the connections.

Leave the glue to dry completely.
