I created this box to store several essential oil bottles. Available in different sizes!
First of all, I designed the boxes. I wanted simple finger connections between the sides of the boxes so that they could be put together and as little glue as possible had to be used.
I then exported a DXF file of all the individual parts.
Such a DXF file can then be easily imported and edited in XTool Creative Space. For example, I add a text to the lid. Text could be applied to all sides or even an image could be engraved.
I then engraved and cut the whole thing using the settings above.
When assembling the sides, it is particularly important to ensure that the correct side parts are joined together to form the base and lid.
The best way to do this is to lay the parts next to each other and sort them so that you put the identical parts together and then connect two pairs with the lid and base plate as shown in the picture. Add a drop of superglue to the corners of the joint edge of the two box halves. The two partitions for the inside are simply plugged together.
As you can see in the picture, I took the basic design and used it to design two more sizes of boxes, with 2x3 and 3x3 compartments.
You can also download these as an XCS file and cut them with your laser. Have fun with it!
