Make sure that you have selected the correct mode for your machine. We are lasering on flat surface. I have made my project on my honeycomb mesh.

Next select your material. I have used the xtool 3mm basswood plywood. You can use different types of plywood or mdf just remember to change the settings accordingly.

Next I prefer to engrave the project title and middle cross so that I can use this as a jig later if I want to make multiple lots of the gift tags.

Then I score the designs and text on and finally I cut the tags out.

I used keyrings from Amazon, you can source them elsewhere if you would like.

This is an easy project to make that is low cost.
