Settings are mine tested multiple times.

Notice we sit at 128 layers for this one it makes embossment more flat but preserving much detail.

It looks best when you apply darkening agent of your choice i use Birchwood aluminium black ( YES aluminium black ) it works under 5 seconds and its reusable.

Polishing :

different things give different effects 

• magic sponge dark yellow 
• steel wool shine finish brass color
• baking soda paste yellowish 
• aluminium foil makes it silver look but its not permanent so only for display
• etc 

While i used Ai to make depth map please note you can't just throw any image into XCS and get same results this image is edited so it preserves detials.
