selfmade scissors are so easy an internet search is not faster :)

as you can see from point 

1. 
   the scissors consist of 2 rings with an inner ring
   2 elongated rectangles in blue
   2 end parts and half moons in green
2. the middle part is created with the path tool
3. once everything has been created, it is connected with the unite function

the stand is quite simple
a long stretch
at the end a circle the size of the candle + 1cm more on each side

the recesses can easily be calculated out
hold the base plate at the bottom of the scissors
create 2 small rectangles with the height of the thickness of the wood
in this case 3mm
make the width as wide as the scissors would go into the base plate
so you also have both distances to each other 

i have added a large black circle that will be engraved
as a small stop so that nothing slips
this has exactly the size of the candle
