Information

Whenever I take my dog Trufita to the vet, I forget things like her vaccination record or her date of birth. Also, when I leave her at the kennel, I have to specify her allergies. With this card, I can easily provide much of this information, as it includes her basic details and a QR code that links to a Google Drive folder with her complete medical history.

STEP 1

Frontal Face

1.Import the image of your furry companion to Xtool studio.

2.Reduce the image until it fits within the template frame.

3.In the right panel, click on the image to edit it. Then, look at the top right corner of the screen; a menu with an "Edit" icon will open. Click the icon, and a tool menu will appear in the top left corner of the screen. Select the "Mask" tool, choose shape number 10 from the second row, and adjust the mask to center it on your pet's face. Click "Finish" and place the image in the rounded box of the template.

4.Go to each title, such as "first name" or "last name", and modify it to your liking with your furry friend's information, just by double-clicking on each title.

5.Unify the template with the image so you can move it easily, select all the content and a menu will appear at the top of the screen; click on the "Group" option.

6.Move the template until it fits perfectly without the footprints going outside the edge of the card.

7. Select the image again from the menu on the right and edit it to convert it to grayscale using the "Auto Adjust" button. Then, select the "Invert" option. Make sure that, in the menu on the right, the image in the recording tab has a power of 40 and 140 lines.

8.In the menu on the right, at the bottom, select the "preview" button to see how your template will look.

9.Record it in your Xtool

STEP 2

Posterior Face

1.Create a QR code with your pet's medical records. Google has many features for this; generally, you need to create a folder in Google Drive, then share it, copy the link, and paste that link into an online QR code generator. It's that simple.

2.Often, this QR code is downloaded with a white background; simply search on Google for a transparent background creator, convert the QR code you created with a transparent background, and you're done.

3. Once you have your QR code with a transparent background, make sure it still works. Open your phone's camera and try scanning it. If everything is correct, import it into Xtool Studio and position it in the empty space of the footprint so that it aligns symmetrically with the template.
Once you've located the QR code, I recommend clicking the "Preview" button located in the lower right side panel to check that your QR code is properly aligned.

4.Leave a nice phrase; if you want, you can modify it by simply double-clicking, just like the author's quote. You can modify it by double-clicking and adding your favorite phrase.

5.Unify the template with the image so you can move it easily, select all the content and a menu will appear at the top of the screen; click on the "Group" option.

6.Move the template until it fits perfectly.

7.Record it in your Xtool
