Information

This DIY three-dimensional assembled palace lantern adopts classic traditional Chinese style, decorated with elegant Flying Apsaras patterns inspired by Dunhuang murals. After assembly, the built-in light source drives the inner pattern to rotate slowly, forming the classic walking lantern dynamic light and shadow effect.
Exquisite outline of flying apsaras with flowing ribbons and graceful postures restores the elegant charm of ancient Dunhuang art. The whole set adopts split assembly design, easy to piece together step by step. Soft warm light projects vivid flying apsaras silhouettes on surrounding walls. It works well as home night light, antique decorative ornament, traditional festival ornament, hand-made leisure craft and exquisite Chinese-style gift.

Step1

Step 1: Laser Cut 3mm Wood Board to Make Lantern Main Structure

Import the palace lantern structural drawing and fix the 3mm solid wood board flat on the laser cutting machine platform. Calibrate the positioning and cutting parameters. Precisely cut out all wooden parts including the lantern frame, wall panels, base and assembly buckles. The cutting lines are neat and burr-free while retaining the original wood texture. Clean up wood dust and edge scraps after cutting, make sure all accessories are flat, complete and undamaged for subsequent production.

Step 2: Print & Cut Flying Apsaras Stickers via M2 Inkjet Printer

Sort out retro Dunhuang flying apsaras, Chinese cloud pattern and classic vintage decorative elements. Import the patterns into the M2 high-precision inkjet printer. Adjust color saturation, sharpness and printing parameters, then print on premium adhesive sticker paper. The finished prints present vivid colors, delicate details and clear texture without blurriness. After printing, cut the stickers strictly according to the size of lantern wall panels, trim edges and remove excess blanks to get perfectly matched decorative stickers.

Step 3: Paste Stickers on Wooden Accessories Precisely

Lay all cut wooden parts flat and wipe off dust and stains to ensure clean and dry sticking surfaces. Align the flying apsaras stickers with the edges of each wood panel slowly and smoothly. Flatten the stickers thoroughly to avoid air bubbles, wrinkles and misalignment. Keep all patterns symmetrical, firm and edge-warp-free to restore elegant traditional Chinese retro style.

Step 4: Assemble the Whole Palace Lantern

Assemble the base, wall frame and top structure in accordance with the design drawing. Fasten the wooden buckles tightly to ensure the whole lantern is stable and firm without shaking. Install the built-in rotating LED light source after assembly. When powered on, the lantern rotates slowly, projecting flowing flying apsaras silhouettes and creating classic dynamic revolving lantern light and shadow effects.
