Step1

Engraving on glass with the xTool F2 Ultra UV requires above all rigorous preparation. The quality of the result depends mainly on two elements: perfect focus and perfectly level glass.

1. Check the calibration of the machine

Before starting, I recommend regularly checking the calibration of the lasers UV and blue of your F2 Ultra. Incorrect calibration can lead to inaccurate focusing and thus a loss of quality on the engraving.

2. Install the glass

Place your glass on the tray, making sure that the area to be engraved is perfectly level. This step is essential to obtain a homogeneous engraving over the entire design.

Feel free to adjust the position of the glass or use shims if necessary.

3. Focus

Locate the highest point of the area that will be engraved.

To be more precise, apply a small piece of masking tape to this spot. This makes it easier to view the laser spot when focusing.

Then focus directly on this area.

4. Position pattern

Once the focus is complete, import the file into XCS and position your burn in the desired location.

Use the "frame" function to check that the visual is correctly centered on the glass.

5. Start burning

With precise focusing and perfectly level glass, the F2 Ultra UV achieves extremely fine and bright engravings on glass. 🍷✨
