Information

      I wanted to create a deeply meaningful, custom sympathy gift for a very close friends mom who recently lost her husband.  Rather than purchasing a generic, store-bought memorial item, I decided to handcraft a double-sided wooden plaque that celebrates an eternal bond and offers a sense of comfort.

Instruction

Step1

I downloaded the image and restyled with ball point pen. Then tested on basswood. I created my image on maple. Put a circle around it to cut it out, and a little hole at the top for a ribbon. Found a quote I liked. Then finally engraving. Did 2 passes for the image and the text and 1 pass for the cuts.
