For this, I made a small template with all the sides of the box. Then, I will insert the pumpkin, ungroup it, and select only the inside to set it for cutting. Finally, I will place it on one of the sides and subtract it to create the pumpkin light shape.

For this, I used Xtool basswood and would recommend it, or maybe an orange acrylic if you really want it to look like a pumpkin.

Now it's time to laser your project. Make sure your settings match your machine and material—this is an S1 40. Don't forget to wear your laser safety glasses!

Now you will need to glue the pieces together, and you should be done. Just make sure the smaller pieces are on opposite sides, like in the photo above.
