Information

This round brooch is not pierced and is intended to be worn on a fabric, a magnet is glued on the back side, and another magnet on the other side of the fabric allows it to be attached without deteriorating the garment. The pattern is very simple, quick to engrave and illustrates the assembly of a magnetic brooch.

Instruction

Step1: Preparation

Preparation
Clean the pendant on both sides with isopropyl alcohol and dry with microfiber.
Paint a thin layer of dark paint or stick a very thin opaque adhesive on the side that will not be engraved. This step is for autofocus.
Open the XCS or XS file, and activate the infrared preheat in the F2 settings.
Identify the three groups of vectors to be engraved, named:

Bee Brooch Colors
Bee Brooch Black
Bee Brooch Outline

By default, the output is disabled for all  groups
Use a round gold medallion 1 to 1.5 mm thick in polished 304 steel, 20 to 30 mm in diameter.
Place the autofocus side under the center spot, close the cover, and autofocus
Flip the pendant over and position it horizontally, about 1 cm below the center spot. Select
all three groups simultaneously to size and place the model on the pendant.
Verify that all three groups have their output turned off
The total burn time is less than 7 minutes.

Step2: Colour engraving

Enable the output of the "Bee Brooch Colors" group, and start the burning
The engraving takes about less than 2 minutes.
Disable the exit of this group, and leave nothing

3

Step3: Black engraving

Activate the output of the "Bee Brooch Black" group, and start the engraving
The engraving takes less than 4 minutes.
Do not touch anything until the engraving is complete.
Disable the output for this group.

4

Step4: Contour engraving

Enable the output of the "Bee Brooch Outline" group, and start the engraving
The engraving takes less than a minute.
Disable the output for this group.

5

Step5: Cleaning

Using a non-abrasive paper towel and isopropyl alcohol, clean well without forcing.
The black areas are the most important, the paper towel should  be clean at the end.Dry
with microfiber to brighten the colors

6

Step6: Mounting the spindle

For a spindle, you need two identical magnets, the one on the pin must be adhesive, for the other, it's optional. Choose a minimum thickness for the magnets (1 mm).

Glue an adhesive circular magnet of the same diameter (e.g. 25 mm) to the back of the medallion, centering it correctly.
Detach the protective foil.

Using an identical magnet on the other side of the fabric, adhesion is done through the garment, without contact, and without piercing anything on the fabric. The fastener is strong, and easy to remove and position.
