      The first glimpse of life – Wooden pregnancy stand

This project was born from the idea of making one of the most emotional moments in life visible: the time when you don't yet hold a child in your arms, but already feel every day that they belong.

The figure shows an expectant mother who puts her hands protectively around her belly. The round engraving in the belly symbolises the first glimpse of the child – that special moment when anticipation suddenly turns into something tangible.

I didn't want to create a big or loud gift, but a small, quiet memento. Something personal that radiates warmth and can later find a place in the children's room, on the bedside table or on the shelf.

The stand was made of wood. The contours were cut, the fine details engraved and then placed in a simple base. Especially the simple form was important to me, so that the meaning remains in the foreground.

This project represents connection, family, and the beginning of a new story.
