Softball Gift Card Holders

I separated the 2 softball shapes on the left from the 2 shapes on the right. The left side I cut with 3mm basswood. The right I cut with 1.5mm basswood. This will help keep your gift card holder from getting bulky.

The left side will score out the strings to help you line up how you want your softball to sit on the gift card holder, and then you'll have your back piece.

The right side is your middle piece, I measured it to match a Target gift card. It will also cut out the top strings and outer edge.

Once cut, you can start your painting process.

To reach the best softball color, you'll use a lemon yellow and a drop of lime green. Too much green will take out the brightness of the yellow. So if you need to mix in more yellow, then do so, just play with it until you reach the color you like.

I used a bright red for the strings then once dry, I outlined the rest of the edge in black.

Once assembled and glued, I painted the outer edge black as well.
