Stories of Kocevsko Carved in Stone

Information

      Inspired by the forests and traditions of the Kocevsko region in Slovenia, this project transforms natural slate into meaningful keepsakes. Each coaster is laser engraved with local symbols such as the bear, bees, honey, and Gottschee heritage, then paired with a custom-designed 3D printed holder.

Rather than creating ordinary coasters, my goal was to preserve the identity of my region in a functional object that people can use every day. Every design tells a story and helps keep the culture and natural beauty of Kocevsko alive.
