Information

I designed this Torii Gate Incense Holder for my wife, who loves spending quiet weekend mornings practicing yoga before the rest of the world wakes up. Those peaceful moments inspired me to create something that would complement her routine and help bring a sense of calm and balance to the space around her.

The design combines a traditional Japanese Torii gate with a minimalist incense holder, creating a small decorative centerpiece that encourages relaxation, mindfulness, and reflection. The Torii gate is widely recognized as a symbol of transition—a passage from the ordinary world into a more peaceful and spiritual one—which felt like the perfect inspiration for a piece intended to accompany moments of self-care and meditation.

Made as a laser-cut wooden project, this model is simple to assemble while still offering an elegant and meaningful final result. The layered incense stand provides a stable place for standard incense sticks, while the engraved details add visual interest without overwhelming the clean and calming aesthetic of the design.

Whether used during yoga sessions, meditation, reading, journaling, or simply as part of a morning ritual with a cup of tea or coffee, this piece was created to help transform everyday moments into opportunities to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

More than just an incense holder, this design represents the importance of creating small pockets of peace in our busy lives. It is a thoughtful addition to any meditation space, yoga corner, home office, or living area, and makes a meaningful gift for anyone who appreciates Japanese-inspired décor, mindfulness, and handcrafted wooden creations.
