This canister is so easy and inexpensive to make. Plus, there are 10...Yes, TEN...designs to choose from! It only cost $2 to make!
It wraps all the way around

paint outside of jar with black acrylic paint. The matte black acrylic paint pen by DecoColor is my favorite and really convenient.

I use the riser base with the baseplate on the lowest slop. It is basically the Y height. Note: the honeycomb base on Y is slightly too high but the original baseplate in the slot right below Y setting is perfect. You can also use riser blocks. Make adjustments as needed.
Setup RA2…This works both on the Chuck and Roller. I have done it both ways. The roller is preferred.
Make sure your jar is level on the RA2 and RA2 is plugged into machine.
This includes Ten total options of designs for a Halloween Fund Jar. Choose one for your jar and line it up.
Make sure your design is “right side up” …I've accidently made a few things upside-down.
I use the RED layer only for framing purposes. Use the framing function to ensure correct design placement. Then, select “ignore” as the output type for the RED layer so it does not add unnecessary lines.
Start your machine and let it process
Wash off the paint with soap and water. I use Dawn Powerwash spray and it works like a charm.
If you have some stubborn paint…rubbing alcohol can help.
You can use a mallet and flat head screwdriver to create a hole in the lid like a piggy bank.
Note: this can bend the lid some and cause sharp edges around the hole. Use appropriate safety measures.
You can use a foam sheet/paper/etc inside the jar to make the engraving stand out more like the pictures.
Enjoy your new Jar!
