floral alphabet plastic tumbler

Preparation of the bottle:

1. Clean the outer surface of the bottle.
2. To make sure that the flower letter and other lettering and images are visible, black paint is spread over the entire surface (where your design goes) of the plastic tumbler before engraving. This will give you a better contrast afterwards!
3. Spread the colour as evenly as possible!
4. Try to keep the thickness of the paint layer as the same everywhere!
5. Let the paint dry for a few minutes.

TIP: Use as soft a brush as possible to spread the colour evenly over the surface!

Before engraving you have to prepare you laser:

1. You need the rotary tool and have to set it to the right diameter.
2. Also remember to adjust the height! Remove / Lower the bottom plate!
3. The red laser dot must be in the centre of your tumbler. The black painted area should also be at the top, with the red dot at the bottom. 
4. Rotate the tumbler a little if necessary! Now you can move a frame and check whether your design (your picture or your flower letter) is actually within your black painted area.

With the above settings, you're ready to go!

The last step is fun and reveals the result pretty quickly! 

1. You can wash the colour away with water. Above you can see a before and after picture. 
2. In some corners you might have to scratch out some paint.
3. Clean the remaining surface.

What remains is a part engraved into the plastic with a slightly black colour!
