Vintage Halftone Design Sublimated onto a Canvas Tote.

Using AImake I wrote my prompt to create the image.  To create the halftone play around with the settings and decide what dot size you want and if you want to use the knock out background color.  Once you have done that “export” the design.  300dpi is the recommended size for the image.

If you're using a DTF printer, select the file labeled DTF. It will open in your apparel printing software, where you can adjust the print settings and preview the included mockups. If you're planning to sublimate the design instead, use the file labeled White or Transparent Background.

Since I don't have a DTF printer, I ordered my transfer online. While I was waiting for it to arrive, I decided to sublimate the design onto a sublimation-ready tote bag. It turned out fantastic and gave me another product option to offer and I love the halftone look as a design.

When my DTF transfer arrived, I couldn't wait to see it on a T-shirt. It definitely didn't disappoint!

Position the transfer on your T-shirt and press it using medium to firm pressure. Every heat press is a little different, but I used 320°F (160°C) for 15 seconds with excellent results.

Allow the transfer to cool before carefully peeling away the carrier film. Cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet and press it again for another 10 seconds. 

That's it, your T-shirt is ready to wear, and the results look amazing!

As a small business owner, I'm always looking for ways to add extra value to my products. Creating matching accessories or bundling complementary items is a great way to increase the appeal of a design while giving customers something a little special.

When I was laying out my gang sheet, I had some extra space available and decided to resize the strawberry woman design to 3 inches and turn it into a fridge magnet. The idea was simple, press the DTF print onto a wooden blank and add a magnet to the back.

While working with the design, I noticed the woman in the artwork was wearing strawberry earrings and thought, "Why not make a matching pair?" It was a fun way to extend the design into a coordinating accessory.

The magnet is quick and easy to make. Simply create an offset around the design, cut the wood blank, align the DTF print, and complete the press-and-peel process. Add a magnet to the back, and it's ready to go.
