Preview
  • Import the design into your laser software (LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, etc.).

  • Each layer is provided separately or grouped by color.

  • Adjust your power/speed settings based on your material.

  • Cut each layer individually.

💡 Tip: Run a small test cut first to ensure clean edges and proper cut-through.

3

Step3: Painting Options

You can paint before or after cutting, depending on your workflow:

Option A – Paint Before Cutting (cleaner finish)

  • Apply paint or primer to the full sheet.

  • Let it dry completely.

  • Then proceed with cutting.

Option B – Paint After Cutting (more precision)

  • Cut all layers first.

  • Lightly sand edges if needed.

  • Paint each layer individually.

💡 Tip: Apply thin coats to avoid swelling or warping the material.

4

Step4: Assembly (Stacking the Layers)

  • Arrange all 4 layers in order (back → front).

  • Apply a small amount of glue to the back of each layer.

  • Carefully align and stack them.

  • Press gently and allow to dry.

💡 Tip: Work from the back layer forward for easier alignment.

5

Step5: Finishing Touches

  • Apply a clear coat for protection (optional).

  • Add a hanger, frame, or double-sided tape for mounting.
6

Step6: Pro Tips (For Best Results)

  • For a premium layered effect, use contrast: darker colors in the back, lighter tones toward the front.

  • If you want extra depth, add thin spacers (1–3 mm) between layers to create a shadow box look.

  • For ultra-clean results, consider sealing or priming the wood before painting.

  • A light sanding or quick wipe after cutting helps remove soot and improves paint adhesion.
