Some things only make sense when all the pieces come together.

For this Father's Day project, I wanted to create more than just an object: a small interactive experience inspired by the theme of the contest, honoring fathers as builders, guides and people who help us grow.

This sliding wooden puzzle combines play, emotion and symbolism. Over the course of the movements, the pieces gradually reconstruct a heart formed by an adult's hand and a child's hand, gradually revealing the final image.

In the center is a fully customizable piece that can accommodate Dad, Dad, a first name, a date of birth or a few meaningful words. This personalization transforms each creation into a unique object, allowing everyone to integrate their own story and message.

Empty space is not just part of the mechanism: it is part of the story. Throughout the game, something is missing. Room after piece, the image comes together until it reveals the message at the heart of the composition.

Through this project, I wanted to illustrate a simple idea: a father doesn't just build things with his hands. It transmits, guides and helps assemble the pieces that build a life.

A playful, customizable and meaningful object, where the interaction itself becomes the message.
