Information

      A peony in full open bloom — layer after layer of broad ruffled petals radiating outward from a dense centre, with a ring of stamens scored at the core. The outermost guard petals are large and smooth; the inner petals are tightly packed and scored in shorter curved sections. The design has a natural depth that makes it ideal for blending colors from the centre outward — pale cream at the core fading to blush or deep rose at the outer petals. One of the most popular flowers for painted wood craft, and one of the most striking results when finished.
