The younger of my two huskies, who is unfortunately no longer with me, immortalized in a glass sphere.

I used the original "K9 Crystal Ball Inner Engraved Kit" accessory for the inner engraving of the glass ball.
If you don't have the original set, you will need to use a replacement set.
You will need a beaker or mug that the glass ball will fit comfortably in. You will also need a stand to hold the ball in the center of the beaker. You can design and 3D print this part or laser cut it out of acrylic.
Clean the sphere thoroughly. Use gloves and a cloth with IPA. Then place the sphere in your beaker. Pour the oil over the sphere carefully so that no bubbles form. You can use the original XTool inner engraving oil, or pure paraffin oil, for example for massages. If you are not using the original accessory, you need to measure the height of the bottom of the sphere above the base on which the beaker stands and also the height of the oil level. Place the beaker in the center of the work surface for inner engraving.
Set all the necessary parameters of your ball, such as diameter (my ball was 60 mm in diameter), height above the surface, oil level, as required by the inner engraving settings. I tried to select the preset material "K9 Glass Crystal Ball" as the material, but the settings did not load correctly. So I used "K9 Inner Carved Glass". Then just start the process and enjoy.
