Information

Crafted to stand out, this engraved wooden “Save the Date” design transforms a simple announcement into a lasting keepsake. Unlike traditional paper cards, the natural wood grain and precision engraving create a tactile, high-end finish that immediately feels more personal and memorable to the recipient. The design blends elegance with simplicity, allowing names, dates, locations, and even calendar highlights to be fully customised with ease. Each version can be effortlessly adapted for different couples, styles, or occasions, making it a highly versatile template that has already been refined across multiple customer variations. The result is a product that not only looks premium but also delivers a unique, lasting impression that standard print simply cannot match.

Instruction

1

Step1: Edit the text elements

Update the names, date, location, and any wording to match your customer’s details.
All text is fully editable — you can also change fonts to suit different styles.

2

Step2: Adjust the calendar section (if required)

Update the month and highlight the correct date by moving or editing the marker.

3

Step3: Prepare your material

Use laser-safe wood such as plywood, MDF, or walnut veneer for best results.
Light-coloured woods give the highest contrast.

4

Step4: Set your laser settings

Adjust power, speed, and passes based on your machine and material.
Run a small test first to achieve a clean, dark engraving.

Setting in file is what i used with the Xtool F1

5

Step5: Engrave the design

Confirm positioning, focus your laser, and start the engraving process.

6

Step6: Finishing (optional but recommended)

Lightly sand if needed and apply oil or wax to enhance the wood grain and deepen contrast.
