Step1: Prerequisites

-- Tools and materials --

- xTool F2 (5W IR module)
- Aluminum medallion
- xTool Creative Space (XCS)
- Isopropyl alcohol
- Microfiber cloth
Set the infrared preheat to "ON" in the F2 settings

Step2: Preparation

  • Clean the aluminum medallion with ISO alcohol and a microfiber cloth (Smooth side)
  • Open the attached file in xTool Studio, and activate the IR preheating
  • Autofocus on the medallion
  • On the left, identify the 2 lists of objects "Droopy colors" and "Droopy black outline"
  • Select the 2 lists to resize and position "Droopy" correctly on your medallion

Step3: 1/2 color engraving

  • Activate the entire "Droopy colors"
  • listDeactivate the "Droopy black outline" listStart
  • the engraving
  • After engraving, leave the medallion in place in the F2, and deactivate the entire "Droopy colors" list

Step4: Engraving of the contours in black 2/2

  • Activate the "Droopy black outline" listCheck
  • that the entire "Droopy colors" list is disabled
  • Start the engraving
  • If you find that the black is not deep enough for you, relaunch "Droopy black outline" once again

Step5: Result

Preview

Take the medallion out of the F2 and clean the entire engraved side with ISO alcohol and a microfiber.

Dry well and contemplate the result.
