Step1: Prep wood
I used a scrap piece of wood I had. I cut it down to size 11.5" x 25". I then planed the surface to start. After that, I sanded the surface as stated previously.

Step2: Engrave image
I engraved the sign with the following settings. I also have the extension on my xTool D1.
