Set the focus so that it is sharp on the actual material surface (the wood behind where the base plate would normally be).

Place the laser in front of the wooden surface.
Make sure the exhaust is pointing upward so the engraving is oriented correctly.

In the software, switch the engraving mode from engraving with base plate to engraving without base plate.
Apply the settings provided in the file.

Start engraving the hedgehog onto the wood surface.

If the engraving appears too light, repeat the process to achieve a deeper and more visible result.

Your hedgehog engraving is complete and ready as a natural decorative piece.
