Step1: Remove the Base Plate
Remove the base plate from the laser to allow engraving directly onto the wood surface.

Step2: Adjust the Focus
Set the focus so that it is sharp on the actual material surface (the wood behind where the base plate would normally be).
Step3: Position the Laser
Place the laser in front of the wooden surface.
Make sure the exhaust is pointing upward so the engraving is oriented correctly.
Step4: Adjust Engraving Settings
In the software, switch the engraving mode from engraving with base plate to engraving without base plate.
Apply the settings provided in the file.
Step5: Engrave the Design
Start engraving the hedgehog onto the wood surface.
Step6: Optional: Repeat for Stronger Result
If the engraving appears too light, repeat the process to achieve a deeper and more visible result.
Step7: Finished!
