Sip Sip Hooray Wine Cork Bottle Stopper - Great for Wedding Favors and Graduation Celebrations

Open the XCS or SVG file type. 

Measure the cork's diameter and make a note of it in the file. Set that text layer to no output. 

Place a cork into a jig (I made a jig from LEGOs, as shown in the video) or ensure it is level and secure. 

Turn on the machine and measure the distance (manual or auto-measure). 

Position the design (and the circle, optional) over the image of the cork, ensuring it is aligned to both the vertical and horizontal center point (note the circle in the file should help with this). 

Note: you should run a material test on each set of corks you buy, as some can be a bit more dense than others. 

Using the F2, I set the blue light laser's engraving to process at 70 power, 250 speed, and 1 pass. You can opt for two passes for a darker burn, but test after one if you have not done a material test array. 

Frame the design in either outline mode or polygon to ensure the positioning. 

Process the design (should take about 15 seconds). 

Note: if you are working with the lid open as I am, please use safety goggles designed for the blue light laser. 

Remove the cork and use air or tape to remove any detritus. 

You may opt to seal with a spray sealant at this point, however, you will need to protect the portion which goes into the bottle. 

Add another cork to the laser, auto-measure, position the design, and repeat as needed.
