50th Anniversary Card

For this project, we want to create a layer of colored paper to decorate the front of a card.  Since this layer will sit on top, I want to make it slightly smaller than the overall card dimensions.  

Next use some of the XCS built-in shapes to design the card.  I am using one of the boarders and a text box.  I also added a simple “happy anniversary” message below.  The upper text will get cut out, while the lower text will be engraved.  

The settings are for the D1 5W laser.  You may need to adjust the settings for your laser configuration.

Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines for your laser and always wear personal protective equipment when the laser is in operation.
