Information

A custom laser-engraved PU leather patch featuring an original "Future Pro, Current Menace" golf character. Designed in Procreate, refined in Illustrator, and engraved on the xTool S1. Perfect as a golf gift or iron-on accessory for bags and jackets.

Step1: Design the Artwork

Sketched out the character in Procreate — a cocky little golfer with a hat and club. Once I was happy with it, brought it into Illustrator to clean up the lines and get a proper vector. From there it went into xTool Creative Space where I sized it to fit the patch and got everything positioned.

2

Step2: Prep and Engrave the Patch

Wiped the patch down with isopropyl alcohol to clear any oil or residue, then let it fully dry. Laid it flat on the laser bed, ran the framing tool to confirm alignment, dialed in the settings for PU leather, and kicked off the engrave.

Step3: Clean Up and Finish

Once the laser finished, wiped the patch down with a lint-free cloth and a bit of isopropyl to knock off any smoke residue. Let it dry for a few minutes and it came out clean. Ready to iron onto a bag, jacket, or hat — or hand it straight over as a gift.
