      It was fun to make the wooden planks
the lines and this structure on the wood only occurred to me when I was creating them towards the end
what i also like is that the planks are separated because lines are also cut

create a rectangle
copy it twice and place them staggered on top of each other
create another copy for the center
then select unite with the 3 planks
click on the remaining batten and select edit node
click on new nodes and use the scissors to remove the line that should not be cut

select the path tool and create the cuts laterally on the planks

at the end select the planks and the created area and unite

choose the animal select outline and 1mm on the animal and connect the outline with the planks

as you can see from the picture, i had already inserted the wood when i came up with the idea of the structure
here i only created single lines and bent the line with edit node
I also created circles and bent them
