8 Layer Adaptable Halloween Scarecrow on Hay Bales Boo

I wanted to use a scarecrow silhouette so I started with just getting the basic shape.  I found a free vector file and then deleted out everything but the outline. I then used basic Halloween shapes and welded them to my “outline shape”.  I would color code one red and drag it over the black one and gauge spacing.  I then did a mock cut with some cheap wood.  After looking at imperfections (too thin, too big, too small…), I did my final cut and glued it together after painting each layer.  Just when I thought that was it, I decided to add the hay bales to present my 8 layered project even better.  I hope everyone enjoys this and if you want it bigger just highlight all and drag to a bigger size.  Open the file and cut to the size you like.  Once cut, paint it how you imagine. Next glue it.  Once this is done, measure the bottom base and use it to set the parameters for a box size (hay).  Use https://makeabox.io to make you box and assemble  Remember the top needs a cutout so just add a rectangle (centered) that exactly matches your cut.  Glue it to the “hay” and put it on a shelf or table for a homemade decorations. 

Sometimes I get so excited when I see a creative project and just cut it out! I'm so eager to assemble it and paint/stain it, that I don't read the details.   A few times too many, I've been disappointed because the junction points don't fit. I didn't use the same material thickness and I wasted time and money.  With experience comes knowledge.  That's why my first contest submission didn't include intersecting cuts.  I want anyone with any material to reproduce my design.  I hope you enjoy it, adapt it and improve it. Last thing to remember!! Use tabs on most of your cuts.  It can save you so much time and material.
