A pretty quick and easy way to mount your Amazon Alexa Echo 5 under a cabinet. With this, you can free up desk space! This need not be for a Echo show 5, it can be used to keep undermount anything under a cabinet. Two major joints in this: Embedded Nut and Bolt Wedged Mortise and Tenon Echo Show 5 specific: Embedding Magnest to hold the base, Hidden Bumpout to hold the Echo Show 5 in place
I used Inkscape to create the raw file. Feel free to re-use my file. You can modify and change dimensions based on the thickness of your board. I created it considering that I would be using a 3.5mm plywood sheet. Refer to the attachment for the SVG file.
Refer to the XCS file for the details. The Cut, Engrave and Score shapes are listed there. The 2nd canvas has an alternate design that I used for the vertical legs.
Score: Power 40/ Speed 100
Engrave: Power 10/ Speed 200
Cut: Power 100/ Speed 18
Please note, in the XCS file above, the values might be different, as I re-opened the file on a different laptop. But refer above for the exact settings used for 3.5mm hardwood plywood.
Please refer above to the build video. I talk about the design, and how to create the SVG file in Inkscape. It also includes the assembly and fitting.
