Good Luck Charm Basket as a New Year's Gift

Choose the file with the appropriate material thickness and select your favorite template. 

Everything you need for a basket is shown in the top image. 

You can customize the template as you like. 

1. Set the laser parameters for engraving and cutting. 
2. For optimal results during assembly, don't forget to input the cut offset in the settings. 
3. Arrange the order so that it engraves first and then cuts. 
4. Once you've done everything, you can start the laser process.

Assemble the basket as follows: 

1. Attach one of the two side pieces with the engraved section. 
2. Attach the bottom of the basket.
3. Insert the 4 slats on the back one by one into the designated holes. 
4. Attach the second side of the basket, and you're done. :) 

Depending on the material and cutting precision, I recommend using a bit of glue to ensure stability.

Step 1: The slats in the main file are grouped at a distance to fit into the openings of the side pieces. Make a copy of this grouping.

Step 2: Take a vector file from the included SVG file or use your own and add it to the project.

Step 3: Create a 2mm border using the Offset function in Lightburn.

Step 4: Align this border to the same plane that you are using for cutting.

Step 5: Position the graphic with the border to fit onto the slat group. Ensure that it doesn't protrude more than 9mm on the underside.

Step 6: Select all cutting lines and use Lightburn's Merge tool. This should now combine the border of the file with the slats into a single entity.
