Step1

This project was done in two parts. I used acrylic and bass wood to create these layered earrings. I placed all materials on the laser bed but used LAYERS to turn items off and on for cutting.

For the TREE OUTLINE

  1. Place your cast acrylic sheet on the print bed
  2. Auto measure for proper laser processing height
  3. Process the tree outline layer with the cut mode

Multiple passes might be necessary depending on the thickness of your sheet. This was created with 1/8" sheet from xTool

For the TREE BRANCHES

  1. Turn off or ignore the tree outline layer
  2. When processing the “tree branches” make sure to switch the material to wood settings
  3. Auto measure for proper laser processing height
  4. Process the branches in cut mode.

Once your layers are cut glue them together with a strong adhesive. Let the pieces dry then attach your fittings.

Image is vector based and can be scaled to the size you need. Various materials can be used to achieve this layered look. This project can also be sized to be a pendant.
