Information

      I wanted to make a cute MOM stand that shows the appreciation for the unconditional love of mothers. I used kraftpaper, paint, glue, and basswood. I have been enjoying doing the kraftpaper overlay for design as it adds a lot of decoration to the design without having to pain it. It's a simple way to add that magic touch and the M1 cuts the paper flawlessly.

Instruction

Step1: Download the file and place material into machine.

Download the “momstand” XCS file and open in XCS. Place your chosen material into the machine. This design is made for 3 mm material. Alterations will need to be made if choosing another thickness.

Step2: Cut out your file

Cut out your file. I also chose to cut out the “mom” and the smaller hearts with Kraftpaper to add an extra element to the design.

Step3: Paint your pieces and glue Kraft paper as desired.

Paint and glue as desired. I use double sided Kraft paper so I can just swap sides for a different design.

Step4: Put all the pieces together.

Place all your pieces together. Some of the slots were a little loose so I decided to cut out and extra layer on the bottom so the pieces stood up straight. You can choose to tighten the slots or cut out the extra bottom piece to help the pieces stand up straight.
