When I bought my D1 Pro, I downloaded Creative space and also purchased LightBurn. I was excited to start making stuff, but found I was spending all of my time trying to figure out how LightBurn worked - what all the icons did and how to make it work with my machine. After watching YouTube after YouTube I became frustrated with how much time I was spending NOT making things. I gave up on LightBurn and tried Creative Space. The UI was awesome! Everything was labeled with words, and located at the top of the screen where it didn't take up my workspace. I completed my first laser engraved project that very same day. I've never gone back to LightBurn and never will - it was a waste of good money.

As each update came down for Creative Space, I found that all the things I thought I needed LightBurn to do, I could now do with Creative Space. When the 2.0 update was announced, I was even more excited!!  Would the big dots when making vectors be fixed? what else would I be able to do????  SO excited.

Then I downloaded it and wow - all the stuff that made Creative Space so easy to use, that had me burning my first project just a short time after starting the software, are gone. Now instead of clearly labeled menus tucked away nicely at the top of my screen, visible at a glance, I now find the menu bar is void of almost everything - wasted space - and now instead icons with no labels occupy valuable workspace, having to look all the way to the side at numbers, options, more icons without labels packed in tight, like someone thought it would be a fun challenge to see if you can find the exact thing you are looking for in the packed-in mess. I find myself staring for a good few minutes to try and find the option I need, then clicking and re-clicking through icons to try and find that one that does what I want.

Please make it an option to use the old UI, the one with things clearly labeled, the one that occupies what is otherwise void of anything, the one that doesn't get in the way of a project, but instead sits quietly and clearly just a glance away - so easy to select what you need and clearly see what everything is set to.

Love the fixes, hate the UI. Making something “slick” and void of all words doesn't make it more cool, it just creates a learning curve for something that didn't have one. Creative Space is first and foremost a TOOL. It should operate like one, be labeled like one, have efficiency and intuitiveness as goals. The UI currently forgoes those qualities for flash, and the misconception by packing more and more icons and data in a tiny window it will somehow be more useful. In actuality it just becomes harder to use, harder read, harder to locate what you need, and becomes sensory overload creating frustration, especially knowing how simple it was before.

SO disappointed.
