REMOVED Handle & Lid. 

CLEANED tumbler with isopropryl alcohol. 

Pencil MARKED the CENTER of where the design should be. 

ATTACH chuck rotary attachment & CONNECT the cable

FOCUS laser. 

Select “USER DEFINING” processing path (click the 3 DOTS to the RIGHT of the ‘PROCESS’ button in XTool STUDIO. 

      “Scanning path” should be ‘ONE BY ONE’ with the ‘BY LAYER’ radio button toggled ON                 (green). Everything else left at default (TOP TO BOTTOM - scanning way & AUTO DETECT -        kerf). 

Click the FRAMING button and pay attention to where lights are on the tumbler to ensure the design will be in the correct spot. 

Also, a VERY IMPORTANT final step is to PREVIEW THE PROCESSING PATH (option is available after clicking “PROCESS”) before starting. The processing path image is EXACTLY how the image will be engraved. If there is a misalignment or another layer accidentally has its output radio button toggled on, then it will show up here.
