Information

Creation of a pair of earrings mixing leather and wood, entirely cut and laser engraved for a natural and elegant look. This project highlights the contrast of materials: the warmth of engraved wood combined with the suppleness of leather, for a light piece of jewelry that is pleasant to wear on a daily basis. 🐚

The shapes were carefully selected to achieve a harmonious visual balance, then precisely cut with the xTool S1 20W. The engraving brings a personalized and refined touch, ideal for unique creations or handmade gifts. This model can be easily declined with different patterns, wood species or leather colors according to your desires.

Perfect for testing fine settings on two different materials and exploring creative combinations. 😊

Instruction

1

Step1

First step: engrave and cut the leather.

2

Step2

Second step: canvas 2 cut the shape in 3mm basswood

3

Step3

Once the shapes have been cut, clean the edges of the leather to remove any residue.
Then apply a glue suitable for the leather to join the two elements.
All that's left to do is attach the ear stud to the back; for my piece, I used UV resin to ensure a strong and durable attachment of the fastener.
