Description

You don't have to fly to Iceland to stand under the aurora. Switch this lamp on and it washes your walls and floor in slow curtains of green, pink, and violet — the Northern Lights, indoors.

The magic is the iridescent striped acrylic: light passes through it and splits into shifting bands of color across the whole room. By day it's a quiet prism standing on slim metal legs; by night, a small piece of the Nordic sky.

The story behind it

We kept wondering: what if you could keep the aurora at home, glowing whenever you wanted? The first time we lit a sheet of iridescent acrylic and watched color spill across the wall, that was the whole project. So we built a lamp around that effect — one you assemble yourself, so the aurora on your wall isn't a photo or a screen, but light you brought to life with your own hands.

Estimated build time: about 1 hour per lamp.
