Many of these take a mark themselves — the kraft board, the walnut box and the PU jewelry box are all listed as laserable. On a finished item, though, only the part the supplier says is laserable: a made-up box can combine board, adhesive, a printed coating and a foam or satin lining, and those do not all behave the same way.
Packaging Is Part of the Product, Not an Afterthought
A blank you sell at a craft fair competes on presentation before anyone reads the description. A foam insert holds the piece straight in the photo; a floating frame turns a flat cut into wall art; a rotating stand lets a browser see all sides without touching it.
The practical rule: buy the box before you list the item. Sizing the piece to a box you already have is far easier than hunting for a box that fits a finished batch.
