The right settings can make or break a job — but tracking them down usually means digging through Facebook group screenshots or asking around in chats. With the new version, Material Lab is no longer just a table of official material settings. It's now a settings library that covers any material, official or not, with an easy way for experienced makers to share what's working for them.
1. New Settings Publisher
A new Settings Publisher has been added, sitting at the same level as the Project Publisher. It supports three publishing methods — local file upload & parsing , Cloud settings / project file parsing , and manual entry — covering different publishing scenarios.
We also provides two capabilities to reduce the publishing burden:
- Scan-to-upload — scan a QR code with your phone to batch-send result photos straight into the editor.
- AI material recognition — upload a photo and Atomm auto-fills the material name and material category.
2. A redesigned Material Lab
Material Lab is now split into Official , Community , and Accessories , and we've rebuilt the way you browse around finding the right settings faster:
- Pick a material visually. A new icon-based category picker at the top replaces the old dropdown.
- Filter by machine and laser type. New filters for laser type, laser power, and processing type help you narrow down to settings that actually match your setup.
- Smarter Community cards. Each card shows the machine, processing type and how often it's been used — so you can size up a setting without clicking in.
3. Community settings detail page
Every Community settings now has its own page, built around the result photo, with the settings and feedback from other makers. From here you can Save to Studio in one click to use the settings on your next job, or leave a quick Worked / Didn't work to help the next person decide whether to give them a try.
4. Settings show up on your profile
Your profile's Published section now has a new Material Settings tab, where all the settings you've shared live in one place.
5. Credits for sharing settings that work
Sharing pays off:
- +100 credits every time one of your settings posts passes review — up to 3 a day.
- +40 credits every time someone marks your settings as Worked.
Reviews are a mix of AI quality grading and human moderation, and you'll see progress in your messages.
